 Academic Information"There are exciting times ahead, not just for you in the term to come, but also for the generations to come. The reason that these are exciting times is because the staff who so expertly take care of you believe in stretching you to your limits. They believe that you can achieve things and are ambitious on your behalf. Whether it is the house parents who patiently deal with your day to day matters or whether it is the teacher in the classroom, the choir leader, the director of the next play or the sports coach, all believe in you. I have always believed that pupils are better than they think they are. You can achieve more if you set your mind to it and do not allow peripheral and superficial distractions to hamper you. I shall always want to know therefore not only how much you are exerting yourself to attain the best results possible in your academic work and examinations, internal or external, but also what extra contribution, what extra initiative you are pursuing to make your experience of the school memorable and edifying."
