DATE FOR YOUR DIARY!
Carols at Huntspill Court: On Sunday, 2 December at 6.00 pm, the Cantabile Choir will be singing at Huntspill Court.  They will be performing a selection of Christmas songs, but also well known carols where the audience can join in. Hot chocolate, mulled cider/wine and mince pies will be served. It should prove to be an enjoyable evening and it would be lovely to see parents there.  If you are able to attend please drop a note to Mrs Nuttall, mother of Rachel, via the School Office.  Further details of the event will follow.

DRAMA FESTIVAL
Good luck to all those taking part in next week's festival at the Temple Methodist Church Hall, Taunton. All students have been given timings and instructions regarding their performances. If any 'emergencies' arise before Monday, parents can contact Mr Riggs over the weekend on 07771 908 417.

Christmas Fair: Parents please note the day of the Christmas Fair is a MUFTI day for  the   pupils  in both Pre-Prep  and the Prep School. It would be appreciated if all pupils could make a donation to the Fair: Pre-Prep children could bring in a cake for the  cake stall  [to  be delivered  to the Pre-Prep Hall on Friday, 30 November – the day of the Christmas Fair] and Prep School pupils an item suitable for a Christmas Hamper. PLEASE MAKE SURE that all perishable items have a long sell-by date. These hampers will be raffled off at the Fair, so please bring along something nice that you would like to win in a hamper. win in a hamper. This could also include wine, spirits, and chocolates, gifts for both adults and children.  If anyone is able to come along on the morning of the Fair and help prepare the hampers, then please put the date in your diary now. More hands make less work for everyone involved!!!
Please remember to look out your "as new" books, toys, comics and DVDs for the stalls at the Fair and leave any items in the Centenary Hall entrance area from Monday, 26 until Thursday, 29 November – the last day for items to be left.
If anyone is able to lend us 30 minutes of their time to help man the tea, cake, raffle and toys/books stalls, please sign up on the rota sheet on the Parents’ Association Notice Board in the Parents waiting area in Weirfield.  We would be very grateful for any help on the day.

GAMES DEPARTMENT
U8 Rugby and Hockey Festival
Recently,  every Year  3 girl and boy from
King’s Hall, Wellington Prep, Queen’s Junior and Taunton Prep joined together at Taunton School to play and show their skills in hockey or tag rugby.  This initiative, the first of what is hoped to be a termly festival of sport was enjoyed by many parents who watched all the children play either for the school or as a mixed team.  The children were awarded many stickers for effort and sportsmanship, and each school went home with a trophy to mark the occasion.  A great afternoon was had by all.
