Arrival and Departure of Pupils
ARRIVAL
Those pupils arriving by car should enter by the main Taunton School entrance and turn immediately left to approach the Preparatory School, passing the First Steps Nursery on the left.
Parents may then pull in outside the Weirfield Classroom Block and drop off their children who will then enter the School by the main door in the Weirfield Block.
Senior pupils may be dropped off on Greenway Road near the petrol station or on Staplegrove Road on the straight section before the curve outside Taunton Preparatory School.
All children must be in school by 8.20 am.
DEPARTURE
All pupils must be collected from the Weirfield Block or the Centenary Hall area. If any other point is more convenient, arrangements must be made personally with the Headmaster.
Years 3 - 8 :
Tuesday, Thursday Lessons finish at 3.50 pm
(gamesand Friday: lessons may run until 4.30 pm oncertain days)
Monday: Lessons finish at 4.05 pm
Wednesday: Lessons finish after games at 4.30 pm(
lessons finish at 3.50 pm for Years 3 and4)
Years 7 - 8 :
Saturday School starts at 8.20 am and pupilsare ready for collection at 12.15 pm
Pick-up times may vary slightly on a Games afternoon depending on individual timetables. Team members will be required for any Saturday afternoon games commitment as well as Wednesday fixtures.
There are two exeat weekends in the Autumn and Spring terms and one exeat weekend in the Summer term, when no pupil is required for Saturday morning.
All pupils are required to be away from school, including boarders.
The dates of the exeat weekends will be shown in the calendar.
All Prep School pupils are expected to be in school on the last Saturday of the Summer Term which is Parents’ Day.
NOTIFICATION of COLLECTION TIMES
The School must be fully informed of the times that children leave each day.
Lists will be kept and any deviation from this (i.e. not staying for supervised prep due to dentist appointment) should be recorded at morning registration.

Bus routes are flexible and extra pick-up points are continually being added.
