 The Curriculum of the Preparatory School is overseen by the Deputy Head (Curriculum) who works closely with her counterparts in the Senior School and Pre-Prep to ensure continuity.
Up to the age of 9 pupils are taught primarily by class teachers but after that increasingly by subject specialists.
From the age of 9 some setting and streaming is introduced.
The usual range of subjects is taught with French from 7 and Latin in the final two years.
The Learning Success department is able to provide help for pupils who are bright but who have learning difficulties and provision is also made to challenge the most able who are prepared for the Taunton School scholarship exams.
